The HN-35G and HN-50G lasers both provide a special configuration that provides higher than normal output at 3.39µm only. In the case of the HN-35G, the high output 3.39µm configuration is noted as model HN-35G-IR-A; the HN-50G high output 3.39µm configuration is the HN-50G-IR-A. The higher 3.39µm configuration in both cases is accomplished by employing a large bore laser tube and necessary modifications to the power supply to accommodate this need. Both use a hot cathode laser tube. The overall design of the power supply for this configuration, Model PS-510, is very similar to the design of the power supply for the HN-50G, model PS-500A. The external dimensions of the model PS-510 are identical to those of the PS-500A.
