GENESIS Series Laser Systems

MODELS HN-10G and HN-20G

  • Models with output power from 10 to 20 milliwatts @ 632.8nm
  • Wavelengths of 632.8nm, 1.15 microns, and 3.39 microns are available as standard features
  • Fully encapsulated power supplies

JODON’S Genesis Series of Helium Neon Lasers were designed with simplicity, optical stability, and reliability as paramount design considerations. Years of laser design, testing, and manufacturing experience were utilized to evolve this highly sophisticated laser series. Utilizing an Invar rod space frame design, they are rugged enough for industrial environments, kinematically stable throughout, and resistant to ordinary mechanical and thermal stresses.

The Genesis Series medium powered lasers are available in two basic models: Model HN-10G, with 10mW output and the Model HN-20G, with an output power of 20mW. The specified power is guaranteed minimum output at 632.8nm in the TEMoo mode (IR model outputs will differ). The high quality, and extraordinary performance of these lasers makes them ideally suited for holography, NDT, interferometry, alignment systems, spectroscopy, communications, informative displays, and numerous other contemporary applications.

The plasma tube incorporates a long life cold cathode design for stable trouble free operation. The plasma tube includes Brewster windows on each tube end for low loss, and for a 1000:1 polarization linearity. Interchangeable external optics are available for operation at 632.8nm, or 1.15 microns, or 3.39 microns. The resonator mirrors and the Brewster windows are environmentally sealed for maximum protection against dust and other airborne contaminants. The mirror mounts are a rigid metal-to-metal design, which feature a differential screw mirror tilting mechanism. When it becomes necessary to tune the laser, the mirror adjustment controls are easily accessible from outside the enclosure.

All Genesis Series Lasers use a DC switcher type power supply, with up to 84% wall plug efficiency. The power supplies are noiseless, and run very cool. They can be operated at 117 VAC or 220 VAC, 50-60 Hertz, single-phase, service power.

All mechanical, optical, and electrical components, including the plasma tube, are warranted to meet performance specifications, and to be free from defects in materials and workmanship, for a period of one year following delivery.

Optional Mounting Kit
An optional mounting kit, the ALM-10, is available for attaching the Genesis Series Lasers to optical tables with 1/4inch, 20 TPI tapped holes. The kit replaces the standard rubber feet and permits individual height adjustment at four points, through a range of approximately 0.75 inches. One inch spacers are available for increasing the height adjustment range between the ALM-10 and the table. The ALM-10 may also be used on other smooth surfaces to allow height adjustments to be made.
