HF Series Lasers
This standard series of self-contained HeNe laser is designed for laboratory or general bench, or table top, use.
The laser tube, power supply and controls are contained within a single enclosure.
The laser tube mount is designed to provide a high degree of shock resistance, while allowing for precise beam alignment with the centerline of the exit port. An optional mounting bezel for direct mounting of accessories to the exit port of the laser is available. The bezel has a 1″-32TPI internally threaded hole. There is also an array of (4) 4-40 x 1/4 inch deep holes on a 1″ square pattern. HF series lasers are also provided with threaded mounting holes in the enclosure bottom to facilitate attaching the laser to optical rails, or to other laser mounts.
The 0.5mW size laser is supplied with an On/Off toggle switch. All others are equipped with the U.S. Government specified key operated switch. All lasers have an emission light which indicates the presence of laser emission. The fuse holder can be adapted for use as a remote connector should the user elect to externally interlock the power supply (117VAC or DC versions only).
The laser tube is manufactured using state-of-the-art high volume technology. Each tube is purged using a high vacuum, high temperature bake-out. The cathode is fabricated from ultra-pure aluminum, and the mirrors are fused (hard sealed) directly to the resonator tube for the highest possible sealing integrity. The resulting shelf life is measured in years.
The power supply electronics are 100% encapsulated for total protection against environmental protection, e.g., water vapor and dust, for superior high voltage insulation., and for protection against electric shock. The potted module is mounted under the tube and thermally shielded from the tube. the power supply is a DC switcher design with up to 84% input/output efficiency. This results in a very cool running laser, with very low power consumption.
Jodon HF Series of self-contained lasers offer several advantages for the OEM user. The cover is easily removed for tube alignment of replacement; the entire assembly is much lighter than competitive models using extruded enclosures. Jodon also offers custom design modifications to suit virtually any requirement, whether you order one laser or 50.
