Jodon’s standard series of cylindrical head laser systems were designed for both industrial and general purpose use. Each model consists of a hard seal laser tube mounted in a drawn aluminum tube, and connected to a separate power supply enclosure with a 72 inch long cable. The power supply connection is a metal, positive locking BNC type connection, which provides an extra measure of safety over the non locking two prong plastic connectors used by other manufacturers.

The laser plasma tube is manufactured using state of the art technology incorporating high temperature bake-out, ultra pure cathodes, and direct glazing (hard sealing) of the mirrors to the resonator tube. The laser tube is then mounted in the aluminum housing using a technique that ensures resistance to mechanical shock. The ballast resistors located in the laser head are fully encapsulated for protection against internal arcing, and against electrical shock.

Each laser head is equipped with an easy to operate beam shutter control. It is operated circumferentially yet does not extend the cylindrical perimeter of the housing. There are no protruding screws, bolts or levers extending beyond the surface of the cylindrical housing.

A nose bezel that incorporates a 1″-32TPI internal thread and a 1 inch square pattern of (4) 4-40 tapped holes, is available as an extra option. this option makes JODON lasers fully compatible with all industry standards.

The power supplies for all models of the SH series are of the DC switcher type, providing up to 84% wall plug efficiency. The power supply electronics are encapsulated for protection against moisture and particulate contamination; and to provide maximum against high voltage arcing, and electric shock. the encapsulated module is mounted in a rugged ABS plastic enclosure with rubber mounting feet. The emission indicator, HV connector, and On/Off switch are located on the front panel of the power supply. The line cord and fuse holder are on the rear panel.

JODON can also provide a NEMA 12 style enclosure for heavy duty industrial applications, or custom enclosures tailored to suit individual requirements.
