MODEL EV-30 Piezoelectric Shaker for Holographic Vibration analysis

For shaker applications in:

  • Jet engine blade vibration analysis
  • Casting void analysis
  • Weldment testing
  • Transducer design and calibration
  • Laminated bond analysis

MODEL EV-30

Part Number 1008

This unique device is a dual PZT crystal sandwich transducer designed to excite or induce mechanical vibrations into test pieces at frequencies as high as several hundred kilohertz. While designed principally for holographic non-destructive testing of turbine blades, thin wall castings, blowers, and other devices, the Ev-30 should find wide spread applicatiions in other areas where low displacement, high frequency and low cost are factors.

The shaker can now be electrically connected to any low power audio oscillator providing 30 volts into a typical load of 600 ohms. examples of this type of power supply are the HP-200AB and HP-201C. For holographic applications, drive voltages from several volts to twenty volts provides adequate excitation for most vibration analysis experiments.
