A system designed to precisely measure piston Top Dead Center (TDC) using microwave energy admitted to the cylinder through the spark plug (or diesel glow plug hole). All engine events can then be phased with respect to TDC.

A companion system to the METS® system for determining cylinder Compression Ratio (CR) and Minimum Cylinder Volume (MCV; i.e., the unswept cylinder volume).
